Much of the imagery in my artwork reflects my life-long fascination with the innumerable facets of life’s journey. I am especially interested in bringing into a visual form the subtle, not-easily-accessible aspects of our spiritual dimensions, while using metaphors of the world to depict them. I do not feel I create anything outright. Rather I try to remove myself as much as possible from the creation process and let whatever imagery from a universal source surface of its own accord. Admittedly, a certain amount of awareness, discrimination and application of skill is necessary to bring a work to completion, but that happens mostly in the editing. If I have ideas in mind to start with, they are often modified beyond recognition from the original idea during the creation process. I am always surprised, occasionally even delighted, by the unexpected results.
